Description
This stylish cotton cycling cap from Rapha x Van Gogh Museum is a special edition inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh.
A casquette or peaked cotton cap is a well-known style icon within cycling and an essential piece of kit. You wear it under your helmet to absorb perspiration, but it also protects against the cold and rain.
The unique capsule collection by the Van Gogh Museum and Rapha – one of the world’s most distinctive cycling clothing brands – is inspired by Van Gogh’s painting The Yellow House (1888).
At The Yellow House in Arles, which Van Gogh immortalised in 1888 in one of his most famous paintings, Vincent found a place where he could invite other artists to paint together and inspire each other. It is for good reason that this work symbolises the new capsule collection. The design also features details from seven other works by Vincent van Gogh, including The Pink Peach Tree (1888), Field with Irises near Arles (1888) and Butterflies and Poppies (1889). The Van Gogh Museum and Rapha both recognise the importance of offering people a place to meet and be inspired.
